Prof. Jonathan Morrison
(Faculty of Engineering, Department of Aeronautics, Imperial College, London UK) has been a long-term member of ERCOFTAC and inspired by the subject of "3D Wake" he became
a coordinator of SIG47 which brings together enthusiasts in this field.

W​e asked Jonathan about the activities conducted within the SIG47 to give it more visibility and increase awareness to the different SIGs.

1. What are the objectives of your SIG?

To develop new ideas around 3D wakes with a view of extending their relevance to practical applications - eg road vehicle wakes

2. How do you collaborate among the participants your SIG?

Primarily in-person meetings supported by remote interactions primarily for organisation

3. Which activities have you conducted in the last year?

None, but we had organised workshop at Imperial College on the 10th - 11th April 2024

4. What plans do you have for the coming years?

Collaborations with potential for joint proposals through Horizon Europe. e.g. KTN as a seed corn process to stimulate interaction with automotive industry

5. What are you most proud of within your SIG?

Without wishing to be facetious, probably launching and committing to a successful workshop which is likely to scope the potential for further SIG interactions.
