G​etting to Barcelona

Barcelona is well-connected to other major cities in Europe and the world, making it easy to get to by air, train, or bus. The city's main airport is Barcelona-El Prat Airport, which is located just 14 km from the city center. It's served by many major airlines, and has connections to cities throughout Europe and beyond. The city is also well-connected by rail, with direct trains from many major European cities, including Paris, Lyon, and Milan. Additionally, there are several international bus companies that offer services to Barcelona from other cities in Europe.

 

Getting to Castelldefels from Barcelona Airport

By Taxi

The quickest way to get from Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) to Castelldefels is typically by taxi; it costs €20 - €25 and takes 10 minutes.

By Train

To reach Castelldefels by train from the airport, head to the RENFE train platforms located in Terminal 2. If you arrive at Terminal 1, a shuttle bus will take you to the train station entrance. From there, take a train and change at El Prat de Llobregat station to Line R2 or R2 Sud, which will take you to Castelldefels train station. The converence hotel is about 1km from the train station (15min walk). We recommend to walk along Av. de la Constitució and Av. del Canal Olímpic.

By Bus

There is a direct bus, L99, with a frequency of every 30 minutes, that can be taken at Terminal T1 and arrives at Plaça Estació in Castelldefels.

 

Getting to Castelldefels from Barcelona city center

From Barcelona city center, the best way to reach Castelldefels (station) is by train, which takes approximately 29 minutes. Renfe trains, specifically Line R2 (heading in the direction of Sant Vicenç de Calders), can be boarded at either Barcelona - Passeig de Gràcia or Barcelona Sants stations, and they will take you directly to Castelldefels. The converence hotel is about 1km from the train station (15min walk). We recommend to walk along Av. de la Constitució and Av. del Canal Olímpic.

G​etting Around

Barcelona has an excellent public transportation system, which makes it easy to get around the city. The metro system is fast, efficient, and affordable, with several lines that cover the city center and surrounding areas. Additionally, there are buses, trams, and trains that connect the city to nearby towns and suburbs. Visitors can purchase a T-10 ticket, which provides 10 trips on any combination of public transport, or a Hola Barcelona Travel Card, which provides unlimited travel on public transport for a set period of time. Barcelona is also a very walkable city, and many of the major sights and attractions are located within walking distance of each other.
